These are the coolest (pun intended) things I've ever seen! Freezers are unbelievably small; mine is about the size of a shoe box. So, ice is hard to come by. If you want to have for a party, you have to know someone in the restaurant business who can provide it. No big ice chests in the gas station parking lots. But these are a space saving alternative for those of us who crave ice. They are made of the small material as a sandwich bag. You fill them with water from a hole in the left side of the photograph, but you don't close them. Some how the water gets trapped inside and fills individual chambers. Once it freezes you pull it apart like a popcorn bag, and it becomes a bag of ice! Genius!
