June & July seem to be Jazz Festival time in southern Switzerland. Two weeks ago we went to the Jazz Festival in Ascona (about 30 minutes north of Lugano). The feature this year was New Orleans Jazz - complete with a funeral parade (although I'm pretty sure no one but the Southerners in the group knew it was a "funeral" parade).
